- Recognized for PosMAC technology

POSCO Humans was selected as one of the 11 best leaders of sustainable solar innovation in 2017.

This evaluation by Solar Magazine 'Solar Today,' was designed to diagnose the current status of the domestic solar industry and explore the future of the sector. LG Electronics, LS Industrial Systems and Hanwha Q CELLS were selected along with POSCO Humans.

POSCO Humans started its solar power business in 2013 with Korea Water Resources Corporation pursuant to providing a framing system for a floating solar power generation system in a package. Currently, the company is carrying out projects in the structural and EPC sectors.

In this evaluation, POSCO Humans received excellent evaluations in the supply of steel structure packages for solar facility installations, the systematic management of PosMAC materials for solar power generation and environmentally-friendliness for floating solar power generation systems, among others.

In particular, POSCO Humans received high marks for securing superior technology, such as PosMAC profile which is a structure exclusively for floating solar power generation facilities and exclusive bolts by utilizing PosMAC, POSCO's World Premium product, and registering their patents. In particular, the PosMAC profile is a bolt-assembled structure that eliminates the need for hole machining and special tools. Therefore, the PosMAC profile drew much attention as a cost-saving product that can greatly cut back on installation time.

POSCO Humans also successfully conducted solar power-related projects such as Boryeong Dam(2.0Mw) in South Chungcheong Province, a land solar power generation system(1.0Mw) in Shihwa Lake, Siheung Water Purification Plant(0.4Mw) and Gwangmyeong Pumping Station(0.6Mw) for Korea Water Resources Corporation based on this technology.

In the future, POSCO Humans will develop its solar EPC business into next-generation new business areas and plan to provide its customers with total services such as business feasibility studies, design, construction and post-construction operations.
