POSCO ICT will launch a service that combines RPA (Robotic Process Automation) with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) in cooperation with DOUZONE BIZON, Korea's No. 1 ERP company.

The two companies plan to automate the preparation and verification of consolidated financial statements and provide them as services by installing POSCO ICT's RPA solution, A.WORKS, in the Douzone Bizon ERP 10. Accordingly, customers using the Douzon Bizon ERP 10 can receive the service without having to develop a separate RPA script to automate the task. In addition to the consolidated settlement introduced this time, the two companies plan to apply RPA to various tasks that utilize ERP such as payment and transaction and spread it to services that automate it.

As RPA is applied to ERP, a key system, the automation of office work is expected to proceed faster. Experts expect that RPA, which automates repetitive tasks, will be adopted as a tool for upgrading ERP to manage data such as finance, HR, purchase, and sales management, and will replace manual tasks to prevent human errors and increase work efficiency. For this reason, global ERP companies are also releasing solutions equipped with RPA functions.

Meanwhile, POSCO ICT has been expanding its application to POSCO and other group companies since launching A.WORKS, an RPA solution in 2018, and has been expanding its business to financial institutions including Hana Financial Group along with Hana Financial TI. In addition, through collaboration with Shinsegae I&C, A.WORKS is spreading throughout industries such as manufacturing, public, pharmaceutical, medical care, and education sectors with partners. It is also planning to release A.WORKS 3.0 within this year with the aim of strengthening hyper automation, one-person support functions, and strengthening development productivity and operational support required in the field through collaboration with solutions such as AI (artificial intelligence), OCR (text analysis), chatbot, and process mining.
