Prudential Global Short Duration High Yield Fund, Inc. announced the appointment of Laurie Simon Hodrick to its board of directors. Hodrick, who brings almost 30 years of experience as a finance academic, practitioner, and consultant, is the A. Barton Hepburn Professor of Economics in the Faculty of Business at Columbia Business School and the founding director of its Program for Financial Studies.
PGIM Global High Yield Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund's investment objective is to provide a high level of current income. The Fund seeks to provide a high level of current income by investing primarily in below investment-grade fixed income instruments of issuers located around the world, including emerging markets. The Fund invests in high yield bonds, which are subject to greater credit and market risks, including greater risk of default; derivative securities, which may carry market, credit and liquidity risks; foreign securities, which are subject to currency fluctuation and political uncertainty, and emerging markets securities, which are subject to greater volatility and price declines. The Fund invests in various sectors, including cable and satellite, energy - upstream, retailers and restaurants, gaming and lodging and leisure, and consumer non-cyclical.
