Perma-Fix Environmental Services, Inc. Announces Audit Committee, Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee and Strategic Advisory Committee Changes

On October 17, 2019, Perma-Fix Environmental Services, Inc.'s Board of Directors approved the following revision to the composition of the Board Committees upon the resignation of Stanley Robert Cochran as a Board member effective on October 18, 2019. Zach Wamp, a director, replaced Stanley Robert Cochran as an Audit Committee member. Larry Shelton, Board Chairman, replaced Stanley Robert Cochran as a member of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee. Dr. Lou Centofanti, a director, replaced Stanley Robert Cochran as the Chairman of the Strategic Advisory Committee. Dr. Louis Centofanti currently holds the position of Executive Vice President of Strategic Initiatives of the Company. No changes were made to the composition of the Compensation and Stock Option Committee.
Perma-Fix Environmental Services, Inc. is an environmental and environmental technology know-how company. The Company operates through two segments: Treatment and Services. The Treatment Segment includes nuclear, low-level radioactive, mixed waste, hazardous and non-hazardous waste treatment, processing, and disposal; and research and development (R&D) activities to identify, develop and implement innovative waste processing techniques for problematic waste streams. Its Services segment includes technical services, nuclear services and the Company-owned equipment calibration and maintenance laboratory that services, maintains, calibrates, and sources health physics, industrial hygiene (IH) and customized nuclear, environmental, and occupational safety and health (NEOSH) instrumentation. Its technical services provide professional radiological measurement and site survey of large government and commercial installations using advanced methods, technology, and engineering.
