OD6 Metals Ltd (ASX:OD6) MD Brett Hazelden discusses with Proactive a maiden inferred mineral resource estimate (MRE) of 344 million tonnes at 1,308ppm TREO at a 1,000ppm cut-off grade for its Splinter Rock Rare Earth Project - one of the largest and highest-grade clay-hosted rare earth resources in Australia. The MRE includes 149 million tonnes at 1,423 ppm TREO with 23% magnet rare earth oxides (MREO) at the standout Centre Prospect and near-surface mineralisation up to 70 metres thick.

“This remarkable milestone has been achieved within our first year of listed life.

"With less than 5% of our clay basin area tested and phase three drilling underway, over the next 6 to 18 months there is significant potential to grow the resource base and by applying our geometallurgical exploration techniques, prioritise the ‘best of the best’ in terms of grade, MagREO content, thickness and metallurgical recovery is the backbone of the company’s focus and we look forward to both expanding the current resource and zeroing in on our high-priority areas.”

The Company is established to undertake exploration of its Splinter Rock Project and Grass Patch Project (Projects) that are located in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia and are prospective for rare earth elements (REEs). The Splinter Rock Project is approximately 2,579 square kilometers (km2) tenement package located 150 km northeast of Esperance, Western Australia, comprising six granted exploration licenses being E63/2115, E69/3904, E69/3905, E69/3907, E69/3893 and E69/3894. The Grass Patch Project is a 2,248 km2 tenement package located 30 km to 100 km north of Esperance, Western Australia, comprising four granted exploration licenses being E63/2151, E63/2152, E63/2185 and E63/2154. The Grass Patch Project's principal prospect is the Belgian Road prospect, which has a 6 km long Nd+Pr soil anomaly in calcrete.
