OReilly Automotive, Inc. Announces Executive Changes

OReilly Automotive, Inc. announced that Jeff Shaw, the Companys Co-President and Chief Operating Officer, intended to retire in early 2022, and on December 21, 2021, the Company announced Mr. Shaws retirement will occur on February 15, 2022. Effective January 1, 2022, Mr. Shaws title will change to Co-President and Brad Beckham, the Companys Executive Vice President of Store Operations and Sales, will be promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In addition, Brent Kirby, the Companys Executive Vice President of Supply Chain, will be promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer. Upon Mr. Shaws retirement, Greg Johnsons, the Companys Co-President and Chief Executive Officer, title will change to President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Beckham will be responsible for all domestic and international Store Operations and Sales. Mr. Kirby will be responsible for Distribution Operations, Inventory Management, Merchandise, Pricing, and Advertising/Marketing. Both Mr. Beckham and Mr. Kirby will report to Mr. Johnson.
O'Reilly Automotive, Inc. is one of the largest American distributors of automotive parts. The products are sold under own brands (BesTest®, BrakeBest®, Cartek®, Import Direct®, MasterPro®, MicroGard®, Murray®, Omnispark®, O'Reilly Auto Parts®, Precision®, Power Torque®, Super Start®, Syntec® and Ultima®) and third-party brands (AC Delco, Armor All, Bosch, Castrol, Dorman, Fel-Pro, Gates Rubber, Lucas Oil, Mobil1, Monroe, Moog, Pennzoil, Prestone, Standard, STP, Turtle Wax, Valvoline, Wagner et Wix). The group's activity is primarily organized around 3 families of products:
- automotive parts: alternator, starters, water pumps, chassis parts, etc.;
- maintenance products: antifreeze, filters, etc.;
- accessories: primarily automotive carpets and seat covers.
At the end of 2022, the products were marketed through a network of 5,971 stores located in the United States (5,929) and Mexico (42).
