Butte, Mont. -Jan. 14, 2014 - NorthWestern Energy has scheduled an approximate 5-hour-long power outage for the entire Deer Lodge area beginning at 1 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22. 

The outage will allow company line crews to make repairs safely at a local substation. The crews will replace equipment needed to deliver reliable service to Deer Lodge-area customers and to avoid longer outages in the future.  

About 2,400 customers, commercial and residential, will be affected by the outage. The impacted area covers the entire city of Deer Lodge, west to the Montana State Prison area, east to Poly Mountain, and south to the Race Track area. The northern boundary is the northern edge of the city.
