Nordea Responsible Investments recently entered into an international partnership with the British news giant the Guardian. The purpose is to increase awareness of responsible investments and companies' role in fighting climate change.

'The finance business is a true global citizen. If we can get banks and investment companies to lead the way, others will follow,' says Sasja Beslik, Head of Responsible Investments at Nordea.

A global audience of more than 600,000 frequent readers

The Guardian is the world's second largest English-language news media and has been named the most trustworthy news brand in Great Britain numerous times.

The newspaper's Sustainable Business section - which is Nordea Responsible Investments' main business partner - covers climate change more than any other media outlet and is considered one of the most influential voices when it comes to climate and environment.

'A high percentage of their readers are leaders, decision-makers and opinion formers - a central target group for Nordea Responsible Investments', Sasja comments.

Part of a highly relevant, live panel debate

The collaboration between the Guardian and Nordea Responsible Investments consists of a number of ongoing initiatives. On 12 January, the Guardian - co-sponsored by Nordea Responsible Investments - hosted a big, live panel debate to discuss companies' and investors' role in the fight against climate change. The panel participants consist of a number of high profile experts in their field, including Sasja Beslik.

During 2015 Nordea received several awards for its work with responsible investments. Read more on Nordea.com
