Netop's Leading Classroom Management Software Expands Support for Diverse School Technology Environments October 15, 2013 Company unveils Vision and Vision Pro updates optimized for remote desktop services, online testing, the latest browsers, and additional languages.

(Portland, Ore. - October 15, 2013) Netop, the worldwide leader in classroom management software, today announced updates to its bestselling classroom management software programs that expand support for today's diverse classroom computing environments.   With the release of version 8.2 of Vision and Vision Pro, Netop's software now supports remote desktop services, online testing, the latest browsers and additional languages.

"When we visit classrooms around the country, we see increasingly diverse technology environments, with students and teachers using a wide range of platforms, devices and tools to support teaching and learning.  That landscape is poised for even more change as schools implement the technology necessary to support the new Common Core Online assessments," said Kurt Bager, CEO of Netop.  "Our classroom management software will allow educators to manage Common Core and other online testing environments as well as maximize their overall technology investment to improve student achievement, regardless of the platforms, devices or browsers they determine best meet their needs."

Version 8.2 of Vision and Vision Pro adds support for Remote Desktop Services (previously known as Terminal Services) to the broad list of platforms Vision supports, including student iPads, Chromebooks and Android devices.  This update also provides improved control and support of the latest browser versions of Chrome and Firefox.  Additionally, version 8.2 offers more flexibility for online exams, a critical feature for when states roll out standardized, computer-based testing aligned to Common Core State Standards by 2015.  Lastly, Vision and Vision Pro now support Unicode, which means that the software will be more easily translated into languages with larger character sets.  The first new language offered with this release will be Japanese.
