Mountain Province Diamonds Inc. reported production and sales results for the fourth quarter and full year 2019. For the quarter, the company reported total tonnes mined (ore and waste) of 11,089,408, ore tonnes mined was 890,886, ore tonnes treated was 936,903, carats recovered was 1,977,438 and carats recovered (49% share) 968,945 carats per tonne compared with total tonnes mined were 11,365,990, ore tonnes mined was 670,707, ore tonnes treated was 751,448, carats recovered was 1,977,438 and carats recovered (49% share) 757,435 carats per tonne a year ago.

For the full year, the company reported total tonnes mined (ore and waste) of 43,224,827, ore tonnes mined was 3,247,324, ore tonnes treated was 3,580,551, carats recovered was 6,820,631 and carats recovered (49% share) 3,342,109 carats per tonne compared with total tonnes mined were 41,444,057, ore tonnes mined was 2,908,184, ore tonnes treated was 3,194,360, carats recovered was 6,936,894 and carats recovered (49% share) 3,399,078 carats per tonne a year ago.

In fourth quarter of 2019, 771,799 carats were sold at an average value of $84 per carat (USD 64 per carat) for total proceeds of $65.0 million (USD 49.2 million) in comparison to 822,548 carats sold at an average value of $86 per carat (USD 65 per carat) for total proceeds of $70.5 million (USD 53.6 million) in fourth quarter of 2018.

During fiscal year 2019, 3,284,520 carats were sold at an average value of $84 per carat (USD 63 per carat) for total proceeds of $276.3 million (USD 208.2 million) in comparison to 3,252,491 carats sold at an average value of $96 per carat (USD 74 per carat) for total proceeds of $311 million (USD 240 million) in fiscal year 2018.
