The Board of Directors of Media Chinese International Limited informed the shareholders and potential investors of the Company that, based on the information currently available which is subject to further review, the Group is expecting to record a loss attributable to the owners of the Company in the range of approximately $5.6 million to $6.2 million for the first quarter ended 30 June 2020 as compared with a profit of $2,264,000 in the prior year quarter. The expected loss was mainly attributable to a significant decline in the Group's revenue from its travel business due to the coronavirus outbreak and the upcoming global lockdown and strict measures to contain the virus; and the business disruptions brought about by the global pandemic having adverse impacts on the markets' advertising spending, leading to a significant decline in the Group's advertising revenue.
