We are seeking a qualified Microwave and Electromagnetic professional that will help bringing Medfield Diagnostics from being a promising start-up with unique technology to becoming a company that delivers high-quality products that will change pre-hospital diagnosis - and save lives. Medfield Diagnostics develops, markets and sells microwave technology-based devices and associated signal processing algorithms that can differentiate between bleeding and clot related strokes - already in the ambulance. About the job

As microwave and electromagnetic computational expert you are expected to have a vital role in the R&D team to solve problems and identify improvements using measurements, simulations and theoretical analysis. Your main focus will be microwave and electromagnetics, but you will also be involved in specification and verification of other R&D aspects such as software, electronics and mechanics.

Qualifications

• A PhD or a M.Sc. with several years of working experience in a related field
• Extensive experience in microwave and electromagnetics, both theoretically and practically.
• Experience in electromagnetic simulators, e.g. CST.
• The more of the following you have experience with, the better:
  • Matlab, Networks analyzers, Calibration, Antennas, S-parameters, Electromagnetic interference
• Signal processing competence is a plus as well as some software experience
• Experience from medical device industry is an advantage but not a requirement
• Ability to clearly express yourself orally and written in English and preferably in Swedish.

To be successful in this role you need to be analytic and pay attention to details. You are able to handle uncertainty, are open to change and like a challenge. You also have an innovative mind and takes own initiatives.
