Vaduz, 16 January 2012. The Liechtensteinische Landesbank AG intends to sell its shareholding in the amount of about 67 % in swisspartners Investment Network AG. First discussions with potential buyers have been initiated. The sale is expected to be concluded within the first half of 2012.

"The intention to sell the shareholding in swisspartners Investment Network AG is an expression of a focus on the core business", says Roland Matt, Chairman of the Group Executive Management. In the context of the current overall economic situation and the transformation process in the banking sector, the Liechtensteinische Landesbank AG (LLB) continues to pursue its three-pillar strategy. In this regard, it is focusing more strongly on implementation of ongoing strategic initiatives and in turn is reducing the tempo for the launch of new initiatives. The LLB Group accordingly already sold its 48 % shareholding in the Elips Life AG life insurance company in September 2011.
