Konoike Transport Co., Ltd. announced consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2016. For the period, the consolidated company reported net sales of ¥64,675 million, operating income of ¥3,123 million, ordinary income of ¥3,141 million, profit attributable to owners of parent of ¥2,238 million or net income per diluted share of ¥39.27 compared to net sales of ¥62,004 million, operating income of ¥2,831 million, ordinary income of ¥2,886 million, profit attributable to owners of parent of ¥1,631 million or net income per share of ¥28.68 for the same period last year. Income before income taxes and minority interests was ¥3,360 million against ¥2,902 million a year ago.
The consolidated company expects net sales of ¥132,900 million, operating income of ¥5,700 million, ordinary income of ¥5,700 million, profit attributable to owners of parent of ¥3,300 million or ¥58.00 per share for the six months ending September 30, 2016.
The consolidated company expects net sales of ¥266,000 million, operating income of ¥11,000 million, ordinary income of ¥11,100 million, profit attributable to owners of parent of ¥6,800 million or ¥119.51 for the full year of fiscal year ending March 31, 2017.
Konoike Transport Co., Ltd. engages in the transportation business. The Company operates in three segments. Its Composite Solution segment operates production process businesses, such as materials receiving, manufacturing contracts, factory in-yard transporting and product inspection, the distribution businesses, such as product loading and unloading, delivery and distributive processing, the other specialty businesses, such as sterilization of medical machines, cleaning and delivery of hospital machines, collection and delivery of industrial waste and recycling in iron mills. Domestic Logistics segment operates constant-temperature logistics businesses based on frozen and refrigerated warehouses held in Japan and general logistics businesses based on dry warehouses. Overseas Logistics segment involves in the maritime and air freight-handling business, and the warehouse operation of export and import cargoes.
