Kingsgate Consolidated Limited advised that the Department of Primary Industries and Mines has completed the final re-opening inspections of the Chatree Gold Mine. A series of comprehensive inspections were undertaken by an Inspection Committee under the Mineral Act 2017. The Inspection Committee comprised officials from the DPIM and officials with expertise in mine engineering and environmental science.

The Inspection Committee has unanimously recommended that the mine re-open to operate in accordance with all applicable Thai mining laws and regulations. The DPIM Region 5 (the DPIM region responsible for Chatree) has endorsed the reopening of the mine, and the paperwork is currently at the Pichit DPIM District Office for authorisation, which is the last step in the approvals process, and is expected to be received shortly.
