Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. Reports Earnings Results for the Second Quarter Ended June 30, 2021

Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was USD 3,140 million compared to USD 2,864 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 734 million compared to USD 561 million a year ago. Net income was USD 448 million compared to USD 298 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.32 compared to USD 0.21 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.31 compared to USD 0.21 a year ago. For the half year, sales was USD 6,042 million compared to USD 5,477 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 1,374 million compared to USD 1,027 million a year ago. Net income was USD 773 million compared to USD 454 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.55 compared to USD 0.32 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.54 compared to USD 0.32 a year ago.
Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. is is a leading producer of non-alcoholic beverages in North America. The group markets hot drinks, soft drinks, flavoured water, fruit juices, concentrated and syrups. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- refreshment beverages (59.6%): Dr Pepper, Canada Dry, A&W, 7UP, Sunkist, Squirt, Big Red, RC Cola, Vernors, Snapple, Mott's, Bai, Hawaiian Punch, Clamato, Yoo-Hoo, Core, ReaLemon, evian, Vita Coco, Mr and Mrs T mixers and other brands ;
- coffee (27.5%): Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, The Original Donut Shop, McCafé, Laughing Man, REVV and Van Houtte brands. In addition, the group offers coffee machines and accessories;
- beverage concentrates (13%): Peñafiel, Clamato, Squirt, Canada Dry, Dr Pepper, Mott's and Crush brands.
At the end of 2023, the group had 30 manufacturing sites located mainly in the United States (24).
The United States account for 87.5% of net sales.
