Service Outage due to Regular Maintenance

Due to regular maintenance of broadcasting facilities, the service is suspended as described below. Please not the pre-programmed viewing/recording may be effected as well.

  • ・service outage date : Wednesday, October 28 6 hours from 1:00-7:00am.
  • ・subject services : all of cable digital broadcast, some of BS digital broadcast (BS12 Twellv, Dlife)

* The Open University of Japan (channel 703) is suspended for 5 hours 1:00-6:00

For subscribers in J:COM Osaka / Kitakawachi, there is additional suspension:

  • ・service outage date : Wednesday, October 28 several few-minute interruptions in 1:00-7:00am.
  • ・subjected services : cable digital broadcast*、terrestrial digital broadcast, BS digital broadcast, FM radio

Star Channel Discount Campaign

Customers newly subscribing to Star Channel from Thursday, October 1 and Monday, November 30, will be eligible for a discount campaign in which the monthly fee is free for the first month and halved for the following 5 months. Please refer to J:COM web site for details.

Channel Number Change for Star Channel

On Thursday, October 1, Star Channel 1 - 3 will be changed as follows. Pre-programming for viewing and recording will also be invalidated. Please reprogram using new channel numbers for the programs broadcast on October 1 and on.

Launch of Star Channel On Demand

On Thursday, October 1, Star Channel on Demand, an on demand service limited to Star Channel subscribers, is launched. You can enjoy latest movies, overseas dramas on TV, smartphone, tablet and PC, anytime, anywhere.

Termination of Former JCN Internet Service

Former JCN Internet service is terminated as follows. Customers in the subjected areas are kindly requested to migrate to ZAQ Internet Service via J:COM web site.

Launch of Disaster Information Service of City of Kobe

In September, Disaster Information Service from City of Kobe was launched.

  • ・Service Area : J:COM Kobe-Ashiya, J:COM Kobe-Miki
  • ・Monthly Fee : J:COM: 300 yen (excluding tax) for J:COM subscribers and 500 yen (excluding tax) for non-subscriber of J:COM
