Journal Sentinel today began offering digital subscriptions to JSOnline.com users who are not current print subscribers. Home delivery subscribers will continue to have full and unlimited access to JSOnline.com content.

"This is a transformative step in how Journal Sentinel values our comprehensive and award-winning content," said Elizabeth Brenner, president and chief operating officer of Journal Communications' publishing group. "We are following in the footsteps of leading media peers who have successfully launched digital subscription plans and supplemented traditional advertising revenue with new digital subscription revenue. As news content delivery evolves, it makes sense for us to change as well.

"Our JS Everywhere digital subscription-free to home delivery subscribers and available as a new stand-alone digital subscription-provides full, unlimited access to JSOnline.com, the Journal Sentinel e-Edition and content previously included in Packer Insider -- on your computer, smart phone, tablet or other mobile device." Readers without a print or digital subscription are limited to 20 articles each month. More information about digital subscriptions is available here.

Editor Martin Kaiser said, "Readers turn to the Journal Sentinel and JSOnline for statewide coverage of sports, politics and breaking news. The paper has been recognized throughout our history for technological leadership and today is no exception. We continue to do more online and via mobile apps than any other media organization in the state."

"Journal Sentinel has the highest readership penetration of any newspaper in the top 50 metro U.S. markets," said Brenner. "We will continue to invest in the local news, investigative journalism and sports coverage that our readers depend on."
