JDA Software Group, Inc. : JDA Software Expands Investment in China as Part of Strategic Growth Initiative

Company responds to increasing market demand for supply chain solutions to enable greater domestic and global marketplace competitiveness for Chinese businesses

Scottsdale, Ariz. - January 4, 2012 - JDA ® Software Group, Inc.(NASDAQ: JDAS), The Supply Chain Company®, today announced it is expanding its investment in the rapidly maturing China market, further strengthening its business commitments to the region. The renewed investment is in direct response to growing global and regional demand for supply chain solutions from companies across China.  

In 2008, in recognition of Chinese companies' strong interest in advanced supply chain solutions in the manufacturing, distribution and retail industries, JDA announced its expansion in overall China operations. JDA has since quadrupled its China-based headcount, serving more than 50 Chinese companies. Now, JDA is renewing its investment to further reinforce the company's commitment to China as a leading supplier of advanced supply chain optimization and merchandising systems globally.

JDA's current portfolio of customers in the region, including Hisense Electric Co., Ltd., Huawei Technologies, and Lenovo Group Limited, have benefited from improving the efficiency of their supply chain operations.

JDA's renewed investment in the region, together with its expanding support, consulting, and sales force, will enable JDA to offer more personalized services to clients in the region. With this expansion, JDA will be able to provide the same level of support available to clients in other regions worldwide.

JDA first established operations in China in 2006 with the acquisition of Manugistics. The company now has three offices in China, with locations in Beijing, Shanghai, and Taipei. JDA operations in China will be led by McNulty, an industry veteran who has worked in the Asia-Pacific region for more than 15 years. He recently relocated from JDA's Singapore office to support overall China operations from JDA's Shanghai office.
