Currently, construction and installation work is ongoing. Investments in construction of the heating mains total about RUB 1 bln.

A new gas-fueled block-modular boiler house (BMK-25) has been put into operation in Bratsk; its installed heat generating capacity amounts to 25 MW, while its annual heat output totals up to 90,000 GCal.

Oleg Prichko, CEO of PJSC Irkutskenergo: 'The project to reassign the task of heat generation from CHPP-1 to CHPP-9 is important for the entire region; it has received support from the governor and the government of the Irkutsk Region, and given inefficiencies in legislation, this project makes it possible to successfully reduce the cost of heat and electricity generation. Undoubtedly, this helps improve the reliability of the entire power system and reduce the prices charged to consumers.'
