(Hong Kong, 12 August 2022) - Intron Technology Holdings Limited("Intron Technology" or the "Group"; HKEX: 1760), a fast-growing automotive electronics solutions provider in China, announced that its subsidiary Shanghai Intron Electronics Company Limited ("Shanghai Intron") today signed a strategic cooperation agreement ("Agreement") with Jiangxi Shinetech Precision Optical Co., Ltd. ("Shinetech"). Cooperating in areas including automotive products and smart vehicle videos, the two parties will jointly promote development of the smart vehicle industry chain in China.

Intron Technology has been actively expanding its intelligent driving and connected vehicles business in recent years to capture the opportunities that come with digital transformation of the automotive industry. According to the Agreement, Shinetech will provide automotive cameras and other accessories to some of Shanghai Intron's products. Its automotive cameras boast the advantages of being low cost and relatively mature hardware technology, thus have become the core sensor for automotive intelligent applications, which agree perfectly with the Group's automotive digital development strategy.

At the occasion, Qin Chen, Director of R&D department of Shanghai Intron, demonstrated the GDCU34B autonomous driving domain control unit developed for L2+ autopilot assistant driving application, which can accommodate one 8MP camera, nine 2MP cameras, 5mm wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. It provides powerful visual perception functions, supports deep learning-based image detection, classification, pixel-level segmentation and efficient coding of H.264 and H2.65 video formats. It can also be used to achieve multi-channel AI computing and multi-channel digital video recording, as well as in developing automated driving-related product functions.
