CHATSWORTH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 21, 2011-- Image Entertainment, Inc. (OTCQB: DISK) announced today that films from its library will release on Microsoft's Zune Video Marketplace across multiple platforms. Zune is a multi-screen digital entertainment service from Microsoft that allows consumers to experience entertainment across multiple platforms including Xbox LIVE, Windows-based PCs, and Windows Phone. A select number of Image Entertainment titles including Award-winning director Peter Weir's The Way Back, Gun starring Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and The Resident featuring Hilary Swank and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, will be available through Zune Video Marketplace. The deal was announced by John Hyde, Vice Chairman for Image Entertainment.

Zune is available on Xbox LIVE using voice and gestures with Kinect for Xbox 360. Users can control their Zune entertainment - select, play, pause and fast-forward a movie, TV show or song - with their voice or a wave of their hand.
