ELDAS Invests in Faster Business Processes
Stuttgart, April 24th, 2012 - With the Heiler Product Information Management (PIM) solution, Elektro Datenbank Schweiz (ELDAS) is banking on more efficient data management and accelerated business processes. By doing so, they will benefit from lower costs and higher data quality when importing and exporting and in catalog production. ELDAS thereby significantly supports its members' ecommerce activities.
With a network of over 300 suppliers and a steady inventory of 250,000 products ELDAS plays the role of an important product information and catalog center of the electrical wholesaler association of Switzerland (VES). With the Heiler enterprise Product Information Management (PIM) solution, ELDAS is banking on the centralized management of all product data for all distribution channels.
Their primary aim was to standardize the process thus ensuring higher data quality. "The list of requirements also included full support for the classification model of the e-industry ETIM 5.0. We also wanted to dramatically reduce the production time for our 2,200 page catalog", says Gérard Rovère, ELDAS manager. "Thanks to the Heiler PIM solution and the Werk II integration, we have laid the necessary foundations."
Thanks to industrial standard interfaces and numerous export options, not only will the catalog be populated with data from the PIM system, but their online channel will too. This channel is very important for the members of ELDAS, the electrical wholesalers, because the Heiler PIM system will allow for valuable time to be saved throughout data management, from input to the provision of information to members, and the placement of products online. "Reducing time-to-market is an important benchmark for our members in this sector. They expect a quick and efficient data exchange solution today", explains Gérard Rovère.
