HONOLULU, April 29, 2024 - Hawaiian Electric crews will replace three utility poles along Fort Weaver Road in Ewa Beach between Kuhina and Hanakahi streets, impacting traffic, street parking and bike lanes on Thursday, May 2, and Tuesday, May 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The work to improve service reliability will partially close the far-right northbound lane of Fort Weaver, restrict street parking and close the sidewalk and bike lane as follows:

  • Thursday, May 2: Between Kaimalie and Hanakahi streets for a single pole replacement
  • Tuesday, May 7: Between Kuhina and Kaimalie streets for replacement of two poles

The planned work will not affect area bus routes.

Special duty police and flagmen will assist with onsite traffic control. Safety signs and traffic cones will mark the work area.

Motorists are encouraged to reduce speeds when approaching and passing the work zone, expect traffic delays or use alternate routes.
