CES - Las Vegas - January 4, 2017 - HARMAN International Industries, Incorporated (NYSE:HAR), the premier connected technologies company for automotive, consumer and enterprise markets, today launched an extension to the AKG N-SERIES, including five premium comfort driven in-ear headphones. The new headphones are engineered with AKG's legendary reference sound quality to enhance the audio experience at home or on-the-go. All five models benefit from the 60 years of expertise AKG has in the field working side by side with musicians and sound professionals.

Highlights from the new launches include the AKG N25, N30 and N40 headphones, which are certified for Hi-Res Audio by the Japan Audio Society. The Hi-Res audio support allows users to enjoy sound as musicians and sound professionals intended, putting the listener at the center of the stage. The superior audio experience is greatly enhanced with the AKG patented sound filters technology. The N30 and N40 in particular are engineered with multiple filters, letting the user fine-tune their listening experience according to personal taste.

Thanks to the AKG expertise in acoustics, the specific drivers' construction of this new in-ear line-up offers an unparalleled sound experience. The renowned AKG reference sound is delivered by hybrid drivers made of dynamic and balanced armature drivers in the N30 and N40 and by dual dynamic drivers in the N25.

The new headphones also offer a variety of connectivity options, including detachable cables to further customize the sound experience in the N30 and N40. The N20LT in the series features a lightning connector that enables a lossless digital audio connection with iOS devices.

This extension of the AKG N-SERIES incorporates high end, timeless design with the most refined materials: tangle-free fabric cables, soft ear tips and stainless steel housings. The in-ear series features a rounded housing that follows the ear's natural anatomy for a comfortable fit in every situation.

'The AKG N-SERIES embodies AKG's legendary studio sound and refined design to complement today's on-the-go connected lifestyle,' said Michael Mauser, president, Lifestyle Audio Division at HARMAN. 'We are pleased to offer consumers the same high-resolution audio that is heard in sound studios, straight from their own portable device as well as other impeccable design options at varying price points.'
