GungHo's highly popular puzzle RPG "Puzzle & Dragons" has achieved over 9 million downloads on a cumulative basis since its release in North America.


GungHo Online Entertainment, Inc. ("GungHo") (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan) (Representative Director, President and CEO: Kazuki Morishita) today announced that the puzzle role-playing game (RPG) "Puzzle & Dragons" of North America version, which is available from GungHo on iOS, AndroidTM, and Kindle Fire devices, has achieved over 9 million downloads on a cumulative basis since its release.


"Puzzle & Dragons" currently has been played by users of 33 countries and regions including Japan. The game has achieved over 39 million downloads in Japan. In the global market, the game has achieved 2 million downloads in South Korea, 2 million downloads in Hong Kong and Taiwan, the number of users has been increasing steadily.


In the North American market comprising the U.S. and Canada, since its release on December, 2012, the game has achieved 8 million downloads on September 29, 2015 and gaining popularity steadily.


The number of users has been growing as strongly as before, cumulative downloads of the game exceeded 9 million on December 30, 2015.
