The breakthrough medical product announcement will be concerning an innovative, European RFID medical device, that has just come on the market, and that has little competition with older medical device technologies that currently exist in the same area. Market penetration of these older medical devices is less than 10% in the U.S. market and has minimal penetration in international markets. The main reasons for the small market penetration globally are the high cost of these older medical devices, lengthy staff education needed to implement, and overall difficulty of use. Global Med's new RFID product will overcome all three of these concerns. The product is currently not for sale in the U.S., but is being sold in Europe. Global Med intends to apply for FDA clearance of the product in the near future.
