GetBucks Microfinance Bank : Executive Appointment

EXECUTIVE ANNOUNCEMENT

Following fifteen months at the helm of Getbucks Microfinance Bank Limited, George Nheweyembwa (pictured above) will be stepping down as Managing Director effective 31 March 2022.

During his stint, George steered the business to realise positive transformation and growth, while fostering a solid internal culture built to take the business forward. He leaves when the business is implementing a recapitalisation transaction to enable it to further transform and grow.

The Board of Directors, Management and Staff of Getbucks Microfinance Bank Limited would like to thank George for his exceptional service to the organisation, albeit for such a short period. We wish him success in his next and future endeavour.

Edwin Chavora, the Head of Treasury, will be interim Managing Director until a substantive appointment has been made.
