After more than 50 years, the first new, fully-fledged Loto lottery has been brought to the people by Fortuna. Approximately every fourth ticket will be a winner; the jackpot worth tens of millions crowns can be won with a single column bet costing just 20 crowns. The Fortuna Lottery also brings back the original purpose of the lottery, i.e. to support charitable projects for disadvantaged children. Among the first partners are Centrum Paraple, Fond ohro?ených d?tí and Konto Bariéry.

Loto is a simple and attractive game and the rollover jackpot will start at 10 million crowns and is forecast to be paid out several times each year. Overall, nine prizes will be split; players know in advance the amount they can win (except the jackpot as these are set and not divided among a large number of potential winners. The first lottery draw will take place on 20th July and thereafter twice a week each Wednesday and Saturday.

"We have managed to prepare a lottery within an extremely short period of time that has great potential to address new and existing players. By the end of 2012, we aim to control at least 20% of the market with numerical lottery games. This is not merely due to Lotto, but also due to other new products currently under preparation that will soon be available; we aim to become the leader in the lottery market in the Czech Republic."says Martin Illner, General Director of the Fortuna Lottery.

A key to Loto success is a network of high-quality retail outlets. Fortuna currently operates more than 700 retail outlets that will increase to 2000 by the end of this year.
