Food Technology Service, Inc. CEO Dr. Richard Hunter said, ?The enhancements we have made during the past two years continue to attract new customers and accommodate growth of existing customers. Rising interest rates as well as the declining value of the US dollar in relation to the Canadian dollar decreased our profit during the second quarter as we have some short-term debt payable in Canadian dollars. The scheduled payment of this short-term debt over the next two quarters should improve profitability.?
