TROY, Mich., March 24, 2014-For the ninth consecutive year, Flagstar Bank is sponsoring statewide walks to support the March of Dimes March for Babies. Flagstar serves as starting sponsor of 14 walks in its community banking markets and as presenting sponsor of the Oakland County walk slated for April 27 at Oakland University.

The March of Dimes raises funds through the March for Babies to fulfill its mission of preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. Flagstar is one of the largest corporate partners of this year's March for Babies.

"As a bank that started in Michigan and is headquartered in Michigan, community is top of mind with us," said Alessandro DiNello, CEO of Flagstar Bank. "That's why we love supporting the March for Babies. The funds it raises change lives and help families at a time of great need. It's community at its best."

The public can sign up for a Flagstar-sponsored walk at any Flagstar branch or by visiting marchforbabies.org.
