(Alliance News) - ESI Spa announced Friday that it has signed a contract for the construction of a photovoltaic plant, to be built in the province of Alessandria, commissioned by a leading international operator in the energy sector.

The order consists of the design, construction and installation of a photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 5 MWP in the Piedmont region.

The amount of the order, amounting to approximately EUR4.2 million, will be accrued in fiscal years 2024 and 2025.

Riccardo Di Pietrogiacomo, founder and CEO of ESI, said, "The signing of the contract is a reason of great gratification for our Company, as it is a significant recognition of our skills and the trust placed in us by the client, for whom we have already built six photovoltaic plants in the Piedmont Region, with a total capacity of about 42 MWp. Following the signing of the new contract, the backlog amounts to approximately EUR56 million, equal to the remaining backlog as of December 2023 plus new acquisitions."

ESI's stock is up more than 12 percent at EUR1.66 per share.
