Santiago, January 29, 2015. In a Meeting held today, the Enersis Board of Directors ratified the appointment of Luca D'Agnese as the company's new CEO. 

Luca D'Agnese shall replace Luigi Ferraris, who submitted his resignation on January 20 of this year. The Enersis Board of Directors, chaired by Jorge Rosenblut, thanked Luigi Ferraris for his commitment to the company during the period of time that he was in charge of general management. 

Jorge Rosenblut indicated that "Luca D'Agnese has ample experience in the energy industry and we have full confidence in him to carry ahead with the Group's challenges".

Luca D'Agnese worked, as of July 2014, as Director of the Eastern European division of the Enel Group, and was also President of Slovenské Elektrárne, a position he assumed in May 2014, after three years as the Group's country manager in Romania.

His prior experience includes periods at Hewlett Packard and McKinsey & Company, as well as being appointed as General Director of the Italian company, Gestión de Red Nacional de Energía (GTRN) in 2003. Subsequently, he took office as Operations Director at Terna, which after merging with GTRN, manages the electricity transmission network in Italy. 

D'Agnese graduated from Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa in 1986 with a degree in physics. In 1990 he obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration from the INSEAD business school.
