Eaton Vance Senior Floating Rate Trust reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended April 30, 2014. For the quarter, net investment income was $6.343 million or $0.173 per share against $8.925 million or $0.252 per share a year ago. Net realized and unrealized losses on investments was $3.812 million or $0.104 per share against net realized and unrealized gains on investments of $4.589 million or $0.125 per share a year ago. Net increase in net assets from operations was $2.495 million or $0.068 per share against $13.462 million or $0.376 per share a year ago.
For the six months, net investment income was $17.096 million or $0.464 per share against $18.278 million or $0.528 per share a year ago. Net realized and unrealized losses on investments was $2.968 million or $0.081 per share against net realized and unrealized gains on investments of $11.673 million or $0.334 per share a year ago. Net increase in net assets from operations was $14.058 million or $0.381 per share against $29.836 million or $0.859 per share a year ago. The net asset value per common share on April 30, 2014 was $15.66 based on 36,841,535 common shares outstanding.
