(Chicago, Ill. - Jan. 25, 2012) Duke Realty Corporation's
(Duke Realty) Chicago office announces that it has renewed
leases with two longtime customers in Meridian Business
Campus in Aurora, Ill. SMC Corporation, a tenant since 2002,
will remain in its 22,000-square foot space at 858 Meridian
Lakes Parkway, a 46,050-square foot building it shares with
UPS. Genera Corporation, a manufacturer of automotive
aftermarket replacement parts, also committed to a long-term
lease renewal for the 192,000-square foot building that Duke
Realty built to their specifications in 2003. Genera opted to
renew its lease in conjunction with a new lease it entered
into with Duke Realty in Dallas.
"Lease renewals are extremely important to Duke Realty
because they express satisfaction by our tenants with their
space and our company," said Steve Schnur, Senior Vice
President of Duke Realty's Chicago operation. "I am pleased
that both Genera and SMC are moving forward with Duke
Realty."
Meridian Business Campus is located south of I-88, west of
Rt. 59 between North Aurora Rd. and New York Street. The park
is home to more than 40 businesses.
Ken Franzese and John Cassidy with Lee & Associates
represented Genera Corporation in their transaction, while
Jeff Castell with Cassidy Turley represented SMC Corporation.
Susan Bergdoll, Vice President of Leasing, represented Duke
Realty's Chicago office in both of the lease renewals.
