DIXY Group: 8 new Victoria supermarkets

DIXY GROUP: 8 NEW VICTORIA SUPERMARKETS Kaliningrad, Russian Federation, January 27, 2017 Victoria chain has opened eight supermarkets in Kaliningrad in the premises acquired from Sedmoy Kontinent in December 2016. The aggregate sales area of the new facilities exceeds 11 thousand square meters, and their opening increases the area operated by the Division by 10.6%.

Over three hundred former Sedmoy Kontinent employees have been recruited to work at the new supermarkets. They all have already completed a training course on the necessary business processes and are currently undergoing extra practical training with their mentors. The stores have been integrated in the Company's IT system, and their assortment is completely in line with Victoria's standard offer, with approximately 10% accounted for own production meals.

In the course of last year the chain has made a number of new contracts with local suppliers, so Victoria's assortment now features extra articles of greenhouse tomatoes, potherbs, mushrooms, cheese, and milk from manufacturers located in Bagrationovsky, Gvardeisky, and Polessky districts of the Kaliningrad Region. The share of local suppliers reaches 90% in certain product categories.
