CSS Industries Inc. announced earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2018. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was USD 133.231 million compared to USD 130.642 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 3.695 million compared to USD 8.321 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 6.770 million compared to net income of USD 5.952 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was USD 0.77 compared to basic earnings per share of USD 0.65 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was USD 310.259 million compared to USD 280.363 million a year ago. Operating loss was USD 20.771 million compared to operating Income of USD 2.830 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 30.156 million compared to net income of USD 1.901 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was USD 3.35 compared to basic earnings per share of USD 0.21 a year ago.
