The directors of Leni Gas & Oil PLC announced a number of changes to the board of the company with immediate effect. Stephen (Steve) Thomas Horton has been appointed as the Non-Executive Chairman of the company. Mr. Horton has been a Non-Executive Director of the company since February 2011 and replaces David Lenigas who has been the company Chairman since its incorporation in August 2006.

John (Iain) Alexander Patrick has been appointed to the board of the company as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. Mr. Patrick has extensive experience in the international oil and gas industry. His background is in law, and he currently serves as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of Wessex Exploration Plc and Madagascar Oil Limited.

Michael Stephen Douglas has also been appointed to the board of the company as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. Mr. Douglas is Chief Executive and co-founder of The Quo Group Limited. He now works extensively with board and senior teams in major UK and international companies, and in government organizations, in strategy development, stakeholder engagement and leadership development.

Mr. Douglas will chair the LGO Remuneration Committee. Mr. Lenigas has been Executive Chairman of the Board since the formation of the Company in August 2006. Mr. Lenigas will continue to advise the Board for a minimum period of twelve months through a consultancy agreement that ensures the company continues to benefit from his wide experience and knowledge of the London capital markets.
