Reporting to Cognos Chief Operating Officer Les Rechan, Mr. Gilbody will be responsible for spearheading Americas sales and solutions initiatives, ensuring customer success, and driving continued momentum and growth in the market.

Mr. Gilbody has been acting president of the Americas since March. Before that, he was Senior Vice President, Finance and Operations, responsible for global field and product finance teams, facilities, distribution, and financial planning and analysis. Prior to this role, Mr. Gilbody served as Senior Vice President, Finance, responsible for global financial operations.

Mr. Gilbody joined Cognos in 2000 from Lotus Development, where he was responsible for worldwide field financial operations for the $1.2 billion sales and services field operations group. He also held executive positions with IBM, Instron Corporation and General Electric. He has 25 years of experience in operations and finance, including 16 years in the software industry.
