COGELEC announces a collaboration agreement with KONE to

develop new connected solutions in apartment buildings

Mortagne-sur-Sèvre, France, 1st January 2023, 7:30 am CEST- COGELEC (ISIN: FR0013335742/Ticker: ALLEC), the French leader in access control for collective housing, today announces a collaboration agreement with KONE, under the Intratone brand, for the deployment of a new range of connected services combining their two smart technologies.

As part of this new collaboration, COGELEC, under its Intratone brand, and KONE, the world leader in mobility in cities, will roll out a joint solution for collective housing, proposing four specific functionalities:

• Connectivity between the lobby door and the elevator: The resident opens the lobby door with their Intratone badge, the management module automatically calls the elevator and tells it which floor to take the person to;
• Connectivity between the resident's intercom and the elevator: When a visitor rings the intercom, the resident opens the lobby door with their phone. The elevator is told to pick up the visitor and take them to the resident's floor;
• Connectivity between the resident and the elevator via a smartphone: From their home, residents can call the elevator before they leave their front door and tell it which floor they want to go to;
• Connectivity between the resident and the elevator in the event of breakdown: The resident is informed in real time, via notification to their smartphone, of how long it will take for the KONE technician to arrive if the elevator is unavailable.

Already implemented in test residences in Colombes (Hauts-de-Seine) and Nantes (Loire- Atlantique), the services offered by COGELEC, under the Intratone brand, and by KONE have shown that they can provide a very practical response to the needs of the collective housing market, by simplifying mobility in equipped residences.

This makes using the elevator more convenient and safer and provides visitors with a better welcome to and guidance around the building. These new solutions also help people with reduced mobility to remain in their homes and allow healthcare professionals to access the homes of dependent people.
