1. DATE OF BOARD MEETING

The board (the "Board") of directors (the "Directors") of the China Water Industry Group Limited (the "Company", together with its subsidiaries as the "Group") hereby announces that a meeting of the Board of the Company will be held on Monday, 30 March 2020 at 5:00 p.m. at Room 1207, 12th Floor, West Tower, Shun Tak Centre, No. 168-200 Connaught Road Central, Hong Kong for the purpose of, among other matters, approving the publication of the preliminary unaudited financial results of the Group for the year ended 31 December 2019 (the "FY2019") and considering the recommendation of the payment of a final dividend, if any.

2. PROGRESS IN PUBLICATION OF AUDITED ANNUAL RESULTS

Due to certain travel restrictions in force in parts of the People's Republic of China ("PRC") to combat the outbreak of a severe respiratory disease associated with a novel infectious agent namely COVID-19 (the "Epidemic"), the auditing process for the annual results for the FY2019 has not been completed as at the date of this announcement and is expected to be continued to be carried out by the auditors of the Company beyond 31 March 2020. The Company is in ongoing discussions with its auditors on the audit works on the financial results of the Group for the FY2019, and is informed that the progress of the relevant audit field works in the PRC has been affected by the on-going uphold of certain travel restrictions imposed due to the Epidemic. As such, while the Company has been preparing financial results for the FY2019, it is expected that there might be a possible delay in publishing the audited annual results as required under the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Listing Rules").

For avoidance of doubt, should such delay arise and in order to keep the Shareholders and potential investors of the Company abreast of the financial position of the Company, in compliance with the joint statement in relation to results announcement in light of travel restrictions related to the Epidemic issued on 4 February 2020, the Company will publish the preliminary unaudited financial results of the Group for the FY2019 together with the audited comparative figures for the corresponding period in 2018 on 30 March 2020. The Company together with the auditors of the Company will use its best endeavor to publish the annual report of the Group (including the audited annual financial result) in compliance with relevant requirement under the Listing Rules.

The Company has been and will continue to closely monitoring the situation of the Epidemic and will publish further announcement(s) in accordance with the Listing Rules as and when appropriate.

Shareholders of the Company and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the shares of the Company.
