Link-Asia International Co. Ltd. provided group earnings guidance for the year ended 31 December 2019. For the year, based on a preliminary review of the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group and the information currently available to the Board, the Group is expected to record a significant increase in the net loss of not less than HKD 90.0 million for the year ended 31 December 2019 as compared to the net loss of the Company of approximately HKD 49.3 million for the year ended 31 December 2018. The factors attributable to the expected increase in the net loss mainly include incremental recognition of non-cash impairment loss of approximately HKD 40.0 million on loans receivable; the increase in net loss of approximately HKD 32.0 million of a subsidiary, Anhui Huayuan Guoyi Medical Investment Management Limited, which had been disposed by the Group in December 2019. In particular, Anhui Huayuan Guoyi Medical Investment Management Limited had a net profit after taxation of approximately RMB 13.8 million for the year ended 31 December 2018; and recognition of non-cash impairment loss on goodwill relating to the disposal of a subsidiary in December 2019 of approximately HKD 18.0 million.
