China e-Wallet Payment Group Limited announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the six months ended June 30, 2017. For the six months, the company reported turnover of HKD 27,224,000, loss from operations of HKD 16,099,000, loss before taxation of HKD 318,549,000, loss for the period of HKD 276,273,000, loss attributable to owners of the company of HKD 276,183,000, basic and diluted loss per share of 11.4 cents compared to the turnover of HKD 20,211,000, loss from operations of HKD 82,973,000, loss before taxation of HKD 83,016,000, loss for the period of HKD 73,589,000, loss attributable to owners of the company of HKD 71,695,000, basic and diluted loss per share of 4.73 cents for the same period a year ago. The increase in turnover was attributable to the application development income generated by continuous efforts in diversification into settlement application market. The Group reported a net loss of HKD 276.3 million for the six months ended 30 June 2017 which mainly attributable by the realised and unrealised loss of held-for-trading investment and available-for-sale investments in the listed securities of approximately HKD 179.6 million and change in fair value of derivative financial assets of approximately HKD 76.1 million. The loss before taxation in the first half year in 2017 was mainly attributable by realised and unrealised loss of held-for-trading investment and available-for-sale investment in the listed securities and change in fair value of derivative financial assets recognised amounting to HKD 76.2 million.
