Waiting for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) replacements parts will soon be a thing of the past when Changing Technologies Inc. (OTCBB:CHGT) unveils its state-of-the-art online retail portal that will provide customized on-demand 3D printing at a fraction of the time and cost.

The innovative platform, currently in the initial stages of development by interactive software developer Advarion Incorporated for CHGT subsidiary 6th Dimension Technologies (6D3D), will give users the ability to search the online database for printable 3D models and purchase them from the site, and will provide licensing opportunities for game and animation developers.

“We’re also offering users unlimited access to OEM replacement parts, which will eliminate waiting periods of weeks or months in some cases. The production capabilities offered by 3D printing – greater precision, higher speeds and lower costs – could basically eliminate the need for mass manufacturing of replacement parts,” CHGT CEO Omar T. Durham said. “When a consumer needs a part for the car or home, they will be able to print it on demand. No part will be obsolete. On-demand 3D printing is really the future of OEM part replacement and sure to be a profitable niche in the $2.5 billion 3D printing space.”
