Carmat, the designer of the Aeson artificial heart, is reporting sales of 3.2 million euros for the first six months of 2024, already higher than for the whole of last year (2.8 million).

The company is claiming 20 Aeson implants in the first half of 2024, compared with three a year earlier. The rate of implantations reached four per month in the second quarter of this year, a doubling compared to the first quarter.

Carmat anticipates, for the second half of 2024, a continuation of the quarterly sales growth rate recorded in the first part of the year, reaching annual sales of around 14 million euros.
