Today CEO, Andrew Mackenzie spoke at the Committee for Economic Development Australia (CEDA) event, 'A new path to reconciliation' held in Perth.

At the event and during his speech, Andrew Mackenzie announced and publically acknowledged the significance of the Uluru Statement from the Heart and reaffirmed BHP's support for the recognition of Australia's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Australian Constitution, through a constitutionally-enshrined voice to Parliament.

BHP's acknowledgment of the importance of the Uluru Statement from the Heart is based on many months of consultation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders, employees, community organisations and Traditional Owners that we partner with.
