bfw liegenschaften ag acquires residential/commercial property in Zurich for CHF 29.5 million

Frauenfeld, 19 December 2014 - bfw liegenschaften ag (SIX Swiss Exchange: BLIN) further expanded its real estate portfolio by the acquisition of a residential/commercial property at Hönggerstrasse 40 / Röschibachstrasse 22 in Zurich (center of Wipkingen). Legal certification took place on 18 December 2014.
The property was acquired for a purchase price of CHF 29.5 million and shows a mixture of use of one-third each in the fields of residential, office and commercial. The municipality Zurich Wipkingen forms together with Höngg the district 10 in Zurich, a community with around 7,500 inhabitants. The quartier has its own SBB railway station and is very well connected by public transport. In addition, the Wipkingerpark, a recreational area, is accessible within walking distance.
The centrally located residential/commercial property includes 31 apartments, 8 offices, 10 shops and
93 underground parking spaces as well as other facilities (storage/warehouse rooms, parking spaces for motorbikes). Total net floor area comes to about 6,620 m2, and target rental income amounts to about CHF 2.1 million p.a.
Transfer of ownership is expected to take place on 5 January 2015; use and transfer of risk will take place on 1 January 2015.
