Best Buy Co. Inc.'s CEO is stepping up personalized digital marketing under a new chief marketing officer, who arrived with hardly any fanfare in November. The company didn't even announced the hiring of Greg Revelle, a former marketing executive with AutoNation and Expedia, who will report directly to Best Buy CEO Hubert Joly.

His arrival also is shaking up the marketing ranks at Best Buy. Both Scott Moore, a senior vice president of marketing, and Gayle Malcolm, vice president of advertising, are leaving.
