Each year, Computerworld announces its prestigious Premier 100 list to recognize technology leaders who are leveraging transformative technologies and strategies in business. This year, Client Technology Solutions' (CTS) Jim Grech was named to the list.

'Jim was recognized for his excellence in leadership of BNY Mellon's Technology Services Group (TSG), which is the technology infrastructure solution provider for the company,' said Suresh Kumar, CIO, BNY Mellon. 'With employees located around the world, TSG delivers state-of-the-art technology designed to provide robust, reliable, flexible and resilient systems infrastructure capable of responding to variable business demands across the business lines for BNY Mellon.'

This includes network services, infrastructure architecture and engineering, data center strategy, information security, help desk services and Digital Workplace.

Jim is also working to clearly define all of the services offered by TSG, establishing accountability by appointing service owners who act as a CEO of their service and empowering the service teams to take an entrepreneurial approach to delivering and improving their offerings. The result is more than 150 self-motivated teams working like start-ups to dramatically improve and innovate on technology services.

The Premier 100 program was created in 2000 to spotlight individuals who have had a positive impact on their organizations through technology. This marks the second consecutive year that BNY Mellon tech leaders have been named to the Premier 100 list, with Kevin Fedigan, CIO of Asset Servicing, Broker-Dealer Services and Depositary Receipts making the 2015 list. Previous BNY Mellon winners include Ram Nagappan, CIO of Pershing, and Lucille Mayer, CIO of Client Experience Delivery, both in 2013 and Suresh Kumar in 2012.
