Born in Lucerne in 1965, Peter Casanova is a Swiss citizen who lives in Walchwil. He studied at the University of Fribourg (masters degree in economics), is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a graduate of the Executive Program of the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI).

Peter Casanova has many years of experience in equity analysis. After various appointments in brokerage research – at companies including UBS, Vontobel, Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch, Sal Oppenheim, Deutsche Bank and Mainfirst Bank – his last position before joining Bank Sarasin was Head of Research at the Luzerner Kantonalbank, where he was responsible for the bank’s investment policy and buy-side research.
